Learn more about health care directives – including information on hospice, advance directives, living wills and forms that clearly state what kinds of medical treatment patients want toward the end of their lives.
Alice Caivano will present a lecture on advance care planning. This includes determining what health care treatments an individual would or would not want if he/she could not speak, and letting others know in advance. She will discuss “Having the Conversation” about developing such plans with the patient and his/her family or circle of caregivers.
The free Lunch & Learn session is sponsored by AtlantiCare Healthcare at Home and the university’s instructional site.
The program is open to the public and lunch will be provided.
