Body Retrieved From Little Egg Harbor Bay Identified as Missing Clammer

The body retrieved from Little Egg Harbor Bay on April 28 has been positively identified as Christopher Hugg, 45, of Tuckerton.

The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau found his body near Middle Island, the area where his empty boat was found on Jan. 13, prompting an extensive, weeks-long search by the N.J. State Police and U.S. Coast Guard, family and friends.

According to a State Police public information officer, the cause of death was accidental drowning. —P.J.
