English Conversation Group Available at Stafford Library
The Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library is hosting a weekly, one-hour English Conversation Group starting on Monday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m.
“The group is a great opportunity for members of the community who are learning to speak English to practice their skills,” said Natalie Niziolek, branch manager.
Group leader Margaret Daley will guide the conversations and help members learn new phrases and expressions in a no-pressure setting. She said the class will use Easy English News, a publication written in simple English and geared for adult and young adult immigrants.
“Getting the participants involved in conversations is the best way to learn the language,” said Daley, a retired English teacher from Southern Regional High School.
She said how long the group will be meeting is unknown.
“This program has been at other branches, but it is new at Stafford so it will depend on how many people are interested,” said Daley.
