Free Health Screenings Set for Mature, Uninsured Women in Ocean County
The New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program in Ocean County is offering free clinical health screenings including clinical breast examinations, mammograms, cervical exams and pap smears to uninsured women between the ages of 40 and 64. To qualify for the program, participants must meet specific income requirements.
A clinic will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Family Planning Center of Ocean County, 1173 Beacon Ave. in Manahawkin, from noon to 2:30 p.m. and on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Family Planning Center, 290 River Ave. in Lakewood, from noon to 2:30 p.m.
An additional clinic will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Ocean County Health Department, 175 Sunset Ave. in Toms River, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Community Medical Center’s Community Health Services, part of Barnabas Health, is providing the screenings through a grant provided by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
