‘LBI Experience’ Auction on May 13, Save the DateHosted By LBI Chamber of Commerce
The LBI Chamber of Commerce is set to host the LBI Experience Auction on Saturday, May 13, at the Daymark in Barnegat Light. The event will take place in the Daymark’s new upstairs banquet room, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A live auction will feature “dozens of unique experiences that make Long Beach Island the most coveted destination on the Jersey Shore,” the chamber invites. Patrons can also enjoy appetizers and a cash bar.
Tickets at $20 each are available through the LBI Chamber’s website at http://welcometolbi.com/lbi-experience-auction/. The page also includes a continually updated list of the available experiences that will be auctioned off.
The LBI Experience Auction was the brainchild of LBI Chamber Board Vice President Steve Havelka, whose son oversees a similar event in New York City.
“It seeks to offer Long Beach Island’s residents, second-homeowners and visitors an insider’s view into some of the diverse experiences that make LBI such a special place,” auction organizers said.
“From Viking Village in Barnegat Light to Bay Village in Beach Haven – and everything in between and beyond, we are blessed with 18 miles of uninterrupted beauty and a vast and diverse collection of offerings here,” said Laurie Temple, destination marketing director for the LBI Chamber of Commerce. “Why not give people the opportunity to experience, first-hand, the many unique aspects of our Island and to enjoy LBI in ways they may not have known existed before? That is the goal of the Experience Auction – to provide a broader lens of LBI beyond our beaches.”
Temple added that if any businesses wish to contribute to the LBI Experience Auction, they may contact her by calling 609-361-4877, or by email at email@example.com. —M.S.
