The Friends of the Stafford Library are planning a matinee dinner show on Sunday, Aug. 19. At 2 p.m., the group will see the Ocean Professional Theatre Co.’s production of the musical “Gypsy” in the Barnegat High School auditorium. The performance is followed by a dinner at Il Giardino’s in Forked River. People may select a beef, chicken or seafood dish when they get to the restaurant.

“The proceeds will go towards supporting programs we help sponsor at the branch,” said Friends treasurer Barbara Liberti.
