Little Egg Harbor School Superintendent Seeks Volunteers to Help Plan District’s Future
Little Egg Harbor School District Superintendent Melissa McCooley is asking community leaders to work together on the district’s Strategic Planning Committee to “create a shared vision for the district, identify the strengths of the district and the critical issues that the district must be prepared for in the future.” Volunteers would attend one or more in a series of four meetings; the first one is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. in the Frog Pond Elementary School and is titled “Strengths and Challenges: State of the Schools.”
The second meeting, on Nov. 7, is “Dream: Creating a Vision”; the Dec. 7 meeting is “Design the District’s Destiny”; the last meeting is “Action Planning with Administration” and will be held in January, date to be announced.
“Participation in any or all of our meetings will be greatly appreciated. We hope that you will be able to join us in this exciting opportunity to assist in shaping the future of the Little Egg Harbor Township School District,” writes McCooley.
Those interested in being part of the committee should RSVP to the superintendent’s office, 609-296-1719, extension 1010, and speak with Madge Rosenberg. The meetings are also open to the public. —P.J.
