Pyour Core’s Fourth Annual Fit Fair Set for May 28 in Surf City

Event Features Brand-New Pyour Pour Beverage Bar, and Much More
May 17, 2017

Pyour Core is coming in hot this spring. Later this month, on Sunday, May 28, the fitness studio will hold its fourth annual Fit Fair, featuring the brand-new Pyour Pour beverage bar. And, as always, the facility offers cutting-edge classes for all ages and fitness levels.

“This year’s Fit Fair has exploded to become a true event,” owner Carolayn Crane remarked. “All the stores on our Surf City strip will be participating,” including Pyour Pour, with fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, frozen yogurt, espresso and small bites to eat just a few doors down from the studio, in Surf City.

Crane added, “Pyour Pour will also be offering custom juice cleanses, all based on your health needs and goals, and our on-staff dietitian will be working closely with us to aid in creating the most beneficial cleanses around.”

As during past Fit Fairs, 30-minute classes of each type offered at the facility will run throughout the day on the 28th, at just $8 per class. Pilates apparatus classes, meanwhile, are $25 each.

Pheel active apparel designer Laine Goldstein will hold a trunk show at the event, and Swell Chiropractic, as well as acupuncturist Rein Pulz from LBI Acupuncture, will attend. And a team from Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation will provide ceramic piggy banks, painted by children with cancer, to raise money for the foundation.

Crane is also excited about a new addition to Pyour Core’s classes: Pyour Fit. “We have expanded our programs to include a brand-new suspension training system like no other,” she explained. “Unlike the TRX training system, this new and innovative system offers the ability of rotation, therefore truly adding more of a core stability challenge for the ultimate in an athletic workout.”

For those interested in a zero-compression, full-suspension blend of yoga and Pilates, Pyour Core also offers Christopher Harrison’s AntiGravity Fitness, which, like all other classes at the studio, has restorative elements.

“Pyour Core is not a ‘push it till you drop’ mentality,” Crane pointed out when introducing the anti-gravity fitness classes last year. “That type of training leaves people feeling exhausted, overly sore and defeated, which will inevitably lead to dysfunction and injury. Pyour Core cultivates safe and challenging workouts for every level. We focus on restoring function and building strength and stamina … all while feeling good, feeling worked, feeling encouraged and getting results.”

The studio has classes for all fitness levels, and will integrate modifications for injuries and special populations. “We’re a premier core fitness training and Pilates studio with a strong commitment towards personalized service and individual attention for those seeking to achieve a healthier lifestyle,” the facility website, pyourcore.com, explains. “Whether you are 22 or 82, and whether your goal is to tone, increase flexibility, rehab an injury or lose a few unwanted pounds, it begins with the decision to change your lifestyle and start at your core.”

Pyour Core’s online store is now up and running, offering custom apparel, vegan protein, yoga mats and more. Visit the store at pyourcore.com/pages/shop.
