Reserve a Seat on the Bus to March for Science in D.C. on Earth Day, April 22
Join others from the area who have signed up to attend the March for Science on April 22 (Earth Day) in Washington, D.C. Barnegat resident Susan Uscenski is organizing a bus to depart from the Kmart parking lot on Route 72 in Manahawkin at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. The bus will return around 9 p.m. Tickets are $47 apiece and the bus must be filled by this weekend. Contact s.uscenski28@ comcast.net.
Marchers are invited to carry a homemade sign (preferably pro-science, but not anti-president) supporting scientists and evidence-based facts and participate in “teach-ins” in the National Mall area. For more info, visit marchforscience.com.
The March for Science is an international movement among scientists and science enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and political perspectives that will not end with the marches and teach-ins but plans to celebrate and defend scientific evidence at every level throughout the world. —V.F.
