Same Ole, Same Ole
To the Editor:
It’s been 10 years and thousands of taxpayer dollars spent on feasibility fees, plans, surveys, legal fees and whatever else goes into the mix regarding this ridiculous situation of two schools still operating in the Long Beach Island School District. The public determined in 2007 to go this route by voting down the school budget that year. Also, the superintendent at the time, Roger A. Caruba, said only one school was needed instead of two.
How much longer will this continue to go on before the taxpayers get together, go to Trenton and request the state to get down here and review this situation? The state needs to go over the books to make the right decision, thereby finalizing this dilemma for once and for all.
