Kicking off the season like never before, join in the official welcoming of Summer 2012 May 19-20

Join the Long Beach Island Community at 17th St Beach Ramp in Ship Bottom with activiites on and off the beach. Island Surf and Sail will be demostrating paddle boarding, surf boards and kite flying, while ALO and Long Beach Island Foundation presents a family beach Science Saturday. On the street join local officials, US Army, Long Beach Island DMO/Southenr OCean Chamber and ReClam the Bay for 10am ribbon cutting along with classic cars, face painting and costumed characters. This free event begins 930 and runs through noon.

Then spend the rest of the weekend soaking in live music, local picnic specialties and 10 NJ Wineries featuring Renault, Sharrott, Tomasello at the Taylor Ave Ballfield in Beach Haven on both Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm. Wine tasting, bottle and case sales as well as winery presentations will set the tone for beautiful bay views as you begin a relaxing Summer on Long Beach Island.
