American Red Cross Hosts Blood Drives in Local Area This Month

Jul 12, 2017

Every donation of blood counts; donations save lives. Consider giving blood to the American Red Cross, which will be on site at the Great Bay Regional Volunteer Emergency Medical Services from 2 to 7 p.m. on July 19, the St. Francis of Assisi Church Hall from 1 to 6 p.m. on July 20, and the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library from 2 to 7 p.m. on July 27.

“You don’t need a special reason to give blood,” notes the American Red Cross, online at redcrossblood.org. “The need is constant and your donation is important to maintain a healthy and reliable blood supply.

“You will feel good knowing you have helped change a life.”

Great Bay Regional Volunteer EMS is located at 100 Oak Lane in Little Egg Harbor, St. Francis is located at 4700 Long Beach Blvd. in Brant Beach, and the Stafford Library is located at 129 North Main St. in Manahawkin.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment and to view blood drives scheduled locally throughout August and September. —J.K.-H.
