The 25th annual Ye Olde Tuckerton Christmas Walk is Saturday, Dec. 9, starting at 5 p.m. with a "Christmas Parade of Lights" hosted by the Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Company. Parade route starts at 3rd Avenue and continues up CR 539 (North Green Street) to Otis Ave. off South Green Street and to Marine Street to disband at the Elementary School.

Starting at 6 p.m. visit Santa’s Workshop in the Borough Hall at 140 East Main St. Besides visiting Santa, there is a small holiday boutique where the Tuckerton Beach Association sells cookies, candy and crafts.

Behind the hall, a free horse and wagon ride takes revelers around the decorated Clay and Marine streets, and the Jersey Shore Live Steam volunteers will have their Tuckerton railroad set up, offering free train rides for kids and the young at heart.

The First United Methodist Church on North Green Street hosts a Live Nativity with the Holy Family surrounded by a camel, sheep and goats. A cookie buffet and hot chocolate are free inside the church.

Six o’clock at the Little Borough Hall, the Tuckerton Historical Society holds an open house with cookies, punch and clam chowder.

Tuckerton merchants will stay open later so residents can do Christmas shopping. —P.J.
