Antique and Classic Car Show at Tuckerton Seaport Oct. 13

Get revved on Saturday, Oct. 13, when the seventh annual Antique and Classic Car and Truck Show pulls into the Tuckerton Seaport. The premier show is co-hosted by the Vintage Auto Museum of New Jersey.

Over 110 drivers from local car clubs including the Sentimental Cruisers and the Vintage Auto Club of Ocean County will park their cherry antique and classic rides on the Seaport site. Learn about the history of the American auto industry stretching from Henry Ford’s Model T’s up to the muscle cars of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s.

John Mahoney, past president of the museum, said the museum is also raffling off a special car, a 1966 Mustang convertible painted an iridescent gold. Just a $5 raffle ticket and you have a chance to win this beauty when the raffle is drawn on Dec. 2 at the museum, 1800 Bay Ave. in Point Pleasant. This is the museum’s main fundraiser.

All cars, trucks or wheeled vehicles worthy of gawking at are welcome to register for the show. For pre-registration contact Dave at; cost is $15 or register the morning of the show between 8 and 11 a.m. for $20.

The judging and an awards ceremony round out the afternoon at 2 p.m. Prizes will include door prizes, special awards, and club participation award. View some cars that are being displayed for the first time.

Admission to the show is $5 for adults. Children younger than 5 are admitted free. Tuckerton Seaport members are also admitted free. Event admission includes access to the Seaport’s 40 acres of family fun, featuring maritime activities, historic and re-created buildings, live animals, a boardwalk, miniature golf course, and exhibits. Food will be available on site.
