Antique Cars and Antique Show Sept. 17 in Barnegat Light

Sep 13, 2017

The second Viking Village Antique and Collectible Show of the season, on Sunday, Sept.17 in Barnegat Light, is a big day for lovers of quality cool old things, and this year the event coincides with an antique car show a few blocks north.

The Antique and Collectible Show opens at 9 a.m., rain or shine at Viking Village, 19th and Bay Avenue. Admission is free.

The Antique Car Show about 10 blocks north on Bay Avenue at the bayfront community gazebo parking lot is a separate event presented by the Barnegat Light Tourism Coalition.

Back at Viking Village, dealers from up and down the East Coast will offer everything from crazy to elegant; architectural and industrial finds, nautical, kitchenware, paintings, vintage textiles, estate jewelry, old tools, collectibles, memorabilia and more.

The saying “everything old is new again,” applies to the popularity of genuine finds, and so does “everything old is still old,” because this show accepts only vendors with true antiques and collectibles – no new or knock-off items.

The antique and collectible show is hosted by The Seawife shop in Viking Village.  —M.S.
