Holiday Show: The annual Holiday Art and Craft Show and Sale is at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences through January. Find special, one-of-a-kind art for that special person.

“Adult Night Out” at the LBIF is a “Canvas and Cocktails” event with artist Abby Saiia on Friday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. Bring your own beverage and snacks. Cost, $30 per person.

Every Saturday at the Foundation, join Dallas Koenig in the ceramics studio from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees can be age 6 to adult, and all levels of experience are welcome. Fee is $35 plus the cost of clay; to paint available finished ceramics during a “Fire Me Up” session is $15 per object plus cost of the piece. The public is welcome to come by anytime during drop-in studio hours. The drop-in fee is $35 for a three-hour block plus the cost of clay.

Winter Wonderland: The Pine Shores Art Association has “Decked the Walls” of its gallery, 94 Stafford Ave. in Manahawkin, with holiday and winter scenes through Dec. 27. Some are for sale. The gallery is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

Registration forms for activities and classes are available at the gallery or online at pineshoresartassociation.org.

Ongoing portrait sessions are open to all artists for a nominal model fee on Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m., and Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. On Thursday is life drawing (undraped model) from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is “do your own thing”; artists meet and create their own work; afterwards is “Artists Helping Artists” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.; drop in with your supplies for some friendly assistance (no AHA on 12/20).

Art Chat Canceled: There is no Art Chat for the month of December and members are moving the venue from the Tuckerton Seaport to the Tuckerton Library, 380 Bay Ave.The first meeting is Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. The group welcomes artists who want to bring their art works for discussion and encouragement.

In the Library: Local artist Nicole Whitcraft-Warren exhibits at the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library through December.

Tuckerton Seaport: Members of the Pine Shores Art Association will display holiday and winter art in the Visitors Center of the Tuckerton Seaport. Artwork is for sale.

Sign up now to join Master Carver Jode Hillman at the Tuckerton Seaport for an intensive two-day workshop, Feb. 18 and 25, in which students will learn the methods and techniques needed to carve and paint a Delaware River style brant decoy. Students may choose a hen or drake to carve and paint; painting will be done in oils. Registration is required by Feb. 10; call 609-296-8868. Cost: $155 for Seaport members, $170 for nonmembers, including materials.

Victorian Open House: The Ocean County Artists Guild hosts a holiday open house in its charming Victorian edifice in Island Heights every Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artisans gifts are on sale for $50 or less, plus larger paintings with the theme “Your Spring Garden.” OCAG is located at 22 Chestnut Ave. in Island Heights. Donation for admission.

Farther Afield: The Stockton Noyes gallery at the Arts Garage in Atlantic City exhibits 13 South Jersey artists in the "Associate Artists Exhibition" through Jan. 28. Also on display: a traveling exhibit of New Jersey Teen Arts through Dec. 29 and mixed media artist Sue Eldridge Ward’s exhibit “It’s All Fun and Games.”  —P.J.
