Artful Noir an Elegant Benefit for Friends of Animal Shelter

May 08, 2018

“Artful Noir” is an elegant pre-season garden party to be held on Saturday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at one of the premier residential estates on Long Beach Island, in Barnegat Light. It will be an exciting soirée, an “Evening of Art and Fashion for a Compassionate Cause,” benefiting the Friends of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter.

Wildflowers by the Lighthouse and Wildflowers Too! are proud to be the presenting sponsors. Cricket Luker of Barnegat Light, Wildflowers’ owner and the creator of the event, was captivated by the seaside estate as the party setting.

“When I first saw this space more than a year ago, it became magical to me. I envisioned endless possibilities and have been in my planning mode ever since,” she said. “I can’t wait to share the experience with everyone now that it’s finally here!”

The estate is a gorgeous compound of two homes with spectacular terraced gardens nestled between them. Artful Noir will enhance this magnificent space with Wildflower models wandering the garden paths in wispy summer fashions by European designers.

Artists will showcase their creations on the decks of the homes and throughout the gardens. A string trio will fill the evening air with music as the sun sets and guests nosh on tapas and wine. And for those interested, there will be self-guided house tours.

“This event will offer those who go the best of several worlds – a chance to make a difference for a really fine organization plus the experience of a very beautiful space outfitted for one very special event,” Luker invited.

Complimentary valet parking will be available.
