Auxiliaries Advance in Radiation Technology Support

Recognition Revealed at Southern Ocean Medical Center
Feb 07, 2018

Hard work, fundraisers, and the sale of one thrift shop item at a time have added up to more than half of a $2.5 million goal. The auxiliaries at Southern Ocean Medical Center are committed to raising the amount to support the hospital’s new linear accelerator, the most advanced radiation therapy technology available.

Through several efforts, including operating resale shops, the hospital’s Bird Cage Gift Shop, and numerous social and fundraising activities, the four auxiliary chapters (Boosters, Holly, Laurel and SOCH) have already brought in $1.5 million toward the goal.
