Sep 15, 2017

On Friday, Oct. 13, the Barnegat Rotary Club will host its fourth annual golf tournament at Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf and Country Club in Waretown. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The entry fee of $150 includes barbecue lunch, cart and greens fee, complimentary beer and wine, award ceremony and buffet dinner.

Proceeds aid local projects which include Barnegat High School scholarships, the Barnegat Food Bank, and the club’s annual Christmas Elf Program, where gifts are donated to children of families in need.

People may register by calling club President Bill Ridgway at 609-548-1039.

“Last year, we had a turnout of around 100,” he said. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to get some participants in joining.”

Chartered in November 2010, the club meets on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at Lefty’s Restaurant/Tavern. People interested in joining can contact Jeff Cummings, director of club membership, at jcummings@venturetank.com. —E.E.
