The Bay Atlantic Symphony marks its sixth annual Holiday Concert series featuring festive music by Bach, Pachelbel, Vivaldi, Schubert, Strauss and more, Sunday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Stockton University Campus Center Theater, 101 Vera King Farris Drive in Galloway.

The selection of works conducted by Maestro Jed Gaylin includes Johann Pachelbels’ “Canon in D,” Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Orchestral Suite No. 3”; Josef and Johann Strauss Jr.s’ “Pizzicato Polka,” Russell Steinberg’s festive “Lights On! A Chanukah Medley”; Franz Schubert’s “Ave Maria”; and American composer Arthur Harris’ “Medley of Christmas Carols.”

Award-winning Parisian soprano Onadek Winan will be the guest soloist in Schubert’s “Ave Maria” and Adolph Adam’s “Cantique de Noël (O Holy Night)”.

Concertgoers will enjoy a few more surprises, including the first ever Bay Atlantic Symphony Children’s Chorus, comprised of 20 students ages 5 to 18 from throughout South Jersey.

Topping off the holiday concert are two carol sing-alongs to conclude each concert performance – one with the orchestra and the other gathered around Gaylin at the piano.

The Bay Atlantic Symphony performs symphonic and chamber concerts conducted by Gaylin and educates adults, young people and special populations throughout southern New Jersey in the beauty and power of classical music. It is the only professional orchestra to serve the five southernmost counties of New Jersey.

Concert tickets are $30. They can be purchased by calling Stockton University at 609-652-9000, or online by visiting bayatlanticsymphony.org. —P.J.
