Bike Ride to Help Food Pantries and Houston

Village Bicycles in Tuckerton is hosting a “Ride To Help Provide” with the goal of raising $500 for the food pantries of Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor and $500 to the American Red Cross to support its disaster relief efforts in Houston.

The sign-up cost is $25, and checks should be made out to the Food Pantry of Tuckerton. Start time is 8 a.m. from the parking lot at Village Bicycles, 213 East Main St. (Route 9) in Tuckerton. Route sheets can be picked up prior to the ride.

A 7-mile “Fun Tour of Tuckerton Loop” is provided for the casual rider and loops of 25, 50 or 65 miles are provided for the more ambitious tour bike riders. All loops will have support and there will be one rest stop on the 50- and 65-mile loops. Helmets are mandatory for all riders.

To register in advance, drop off checks at Village Bicycles Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  —P.J.
