Chocolate Lovers Find Paradise at Museum Aug. 9

Aug 01, 2018

Chocolate lovers, take note: The Long Beach Island Historical Association’s annual Chocolate Fair will take place at the Long Beach Island Historical Museum in Beach Haven on Thursday, Aug. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. Samples from Country Kettle Fudge and the Woo Hoo as well as ice cream, other sweets and a chocolate dipping fountain will be available throughout the evening.

“A lot of the cookies and confections are homemade,” said Ron Marr, president of the LBI Historical Association.

Seating is available inside the museum or outside on the lawn. Tickets are available at the door.

“We are having the same format as before with a minimum purchase of 10 tickets for adults and five for kids (at a dollar a ticket) to ‘spend’ on your choice of chocolate goodies,” Marr said.

Proceeds benefit the museum’s general operating expenses.

“Because it’s in the evening, a lot of people will come over on their bikes,” he said. “We encourage that because its not easy to find a parking spot, especially that time in the evening.”
