Curious State

Apr 04, 2018

To the Editor:

I find a recent public announcement curious. Why does a Stafford taxpaying resident have to pay a fee to listen to township officials present the “State of Stafford Township”?

Township officials will present the “State of  Stafford Township” along with their new municipal budget at a meeting April 11 sponsored by the Stafford Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will be held at the 775 East Bay Avenue Community Center, 775 East Bay Ave., at 8 a.m. The $10 admission cost will include breakfast.

The meeting is open to chamber and non-chamber members.

Could this be related to the upcoming 2018 mayoral and council election?
