Convenient Route 72 Location in Manahawkin
Sep 06, 2017

The Deborah Specialty Physicians private physician practice group is pleased to announce the opening of its Vascular and Endovascular Surgery practice, located at 1322 Route 72 West, Suite 1, Manahawkin. The team of highly skilled experts brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience, backed by state-of-the-art technologies, said a press release announcing the opening.

“These medical specialists have advanced training in all aspects of vascular care, including minimally-invasive endovascular therapies, surgical therapy, and medical management,” outlined the release.

“All patients are given personal one-on-one attention with a physician who builds a health and lifestyle profile to tailor a personalized care plan. Depending on the progression of the disease, initial risk assessments and analysis will indicate those lifestyle modifications, exercise plans, diet and nutrition changes, or medications, to help prevent additional disease progression.

“When more complex care is needed, the physicians have a full range of diagnostic capabilities to accurately pinpoint the disease progression. This includes lab work, x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, PET scans, and catheterizations,” said the physicians’ group.

“If a surgery or endovascular (minimally-invasive) procedure is necessary, the Deborah Specialty Physicians Vascular and Endovascular Surgery team has full surgical privileges at both Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center.”

The Deborah Specialty Physician Vascular and Endovascular Surgery team includes: Kane L. Chang, MD, who received his specialty training in vascular surgery at Staten Island University Hospital and is board certified in both general and vascular surgery; Vijay Kamath, MD, also board certified in general and vascular surgery, who did his vascular surgery specialty training at Jobst Vascular Institute; and Vikram Palkar, DO, who received his specialty training in vascular surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. He is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in vascular surgery.

Both Chang and Kamath are fellows of the American College of Surgeons, a designation meaning the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the college.

The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery practice staff also includes Advance Practice Nurse Laurie Jansson-Didyk, who holds numerous board certifications.
