‘Deeply Healing’ Grief Retreat at Murray Grove Dec. 8-10

Nov 20, 2017

A few spots are still open for attendance at a retreat addressing healing from grief, to be held at the Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center, Lanoka Harbor, from Friday, Dec. 8, to Sunday, Dec. 10. Titled “The Gifts of Grief: Grief as Sacred Work,” the retreat will be facilitated by Carolyn Baker and Terry Chapman. Baker was a psychotherapist in private practice for 17 years and is currently a life coach. Chapman is a clergy and spiritual director with over 30 years of experience walking with people through life’s transitions.

The retreat is described as “deeply healing.”

The program description says, “Are you feeling overwhelmed by a personal loss? Are you feeling anxious about the uncertainties of our global crises? These experiences need not result in despair or helplessness.

“In a supportive community, the experience of grieving can be made conscious and empowering. We can intentionally open to the unexpected gifts of meaning, joy, and purpose inherent in what we most dread.”

Participants are invited to “become part of an exploration of community grieving. Together we will delve deeper into what particular aspects of grief are heartbreaking to each of us. Throughout, we will learn to involve nature in our healing process, as well as share deeply our grief within the container of everyone’s support.”

Early registration at a discount has been extended through midnight, Nov. 23. Find more information on cost, and the registration link, at murraygrove.org.
