It is that time of year again when Santa Claus sends down some watchful elves to help him with his list. The SandPaper’s own Elvie and Elsa have made the long journey back to Long Beach Island to check in on all the little boys and girls. They have been spotted out and about on the Island, checking some local attractions and beaches, appearing first in Holgate on the beaches, checking out the surf fishing and views of Atlantic City. They were reportedly heading north along the Island, stopping at a few different locations to see what has changed over the year.

There was a sighting at the N.J. Maritime Museum in Beach Haven, where they were seen helping recycle monofilament fishing line, and even picking out what appeared to be a perfect elf-sized Christmas tree along the way. They also couldn't resist stopping at Surflight Theater to take in “Elf” along their journey.

Elvie and Elsa were also seen on the mainland, helping with Santa’s sleigh at the Barnegat Volunteer Fire Co. and horsing around on Santa Claus Lane.

Lately it appears they have made their way through Stafford Township and were heading back over the bridge, stopping in to check out the status of the new bridge construction. Keep your eyes peeled as they are still bouncing around town and will be for the next few days, until Christmas.
