Global Program on Death Coming to LBI Region April 25

Apr 16, 2018

A program to increase the awareness of death and dying with the intent of helping debunk the taboo topic of death is being held at the Bay Avenue Community Center, at 775 East Bay Ave. in Manahawkin on Wednesday, April 25. Called the Death Café, the event is a group discussion facilitated by Barbara Reynolds, Debra Dooley and Elsa Sanchez.

Death Cafés are popular across Europe and North America with more than 6,000 offered globally since September 2011. Attendees may talk or just listen to the discussion. There is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. Learn more at deathcafe.com.

Registration is required; email gina.maguire@stockton.edu—G.G.S.
