Harvest and Holiday Fest Nov. 11 at Tuckerton Church

Nov 01, 2017

Meet local artist Cathleen Engelsen, known for her historic watercolor paintings of the shore area, at the Harvest and Holiday Festival Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Tuckerton.

The fest includes 23 vendors and artists on two floors of the church. New this year is Pine Barrens Diamonds, jewelry made from antique glass by Paul Evans Pedersen, and Elaine’s Egg Shell Creations, old-fashioned dioramas created in blown-out eggs. Each purchase supports Camp NEJEDA for Type1 diabetic children.

The women of the church will have a crafts table, seamstress “Dorita” will have her aprons and doll clothes for sale, and handmade pillows, candles, soaps and woodcrafts will abound.

Two lucky chance-takers will win raffles of a wine basket and a Lenox Christmas cookie jar and mugs. Ages 18 and above can participate in a 50/50.

Apple and pumpkin pies and specialty jams, muffins and other baked goods plus coffee and a lunch of chili, cornbread and hot dogs will be for sale.  —P.J.
