The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences invites the public to the 2018 Holiday Market. Shop locally this holiday season during the month-long event, Nov. 17 through Dec. 16, with a special one-day-only festival event on Nov. 24 for Small Business Saturday.

Throughout the month, the LBIF Holiday Market will be exhibiting handmade crafts and fine art created by local and regional artists. Visitors can expect to find beautiful, unique works in a range of mediums, including jewelry, pottery, clothing, photography, home goods and more. This is the perfect way to start your holiday shopping or pick up a treasure just for you.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the Small Business Saturday Holiday Market Festival, find chatty fire pits, live music, food and drink vendors, and lots of shopping. Live music is performed by Sahara Moon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and  Greg Warren from 2:30 p.m. to 6. Food and drink will be available for purchase from The Coffee Bouteaque, Sunny Rae’s Food Truck and the Barrel Mobile. The LBIF ceramics residents will be selling sweet treats during their bake sale and soup courtesy of Neptune Market, with or without one of their handmade bowls. Bring the whole family to get unique photos with a vintage truck, courtesy of the Surf City Volunteer Fire Co. There will also be community organizations set up at booths throughout the property, including ReClam the Bay, which will be serving up clams and seafood soup.

Special thanks to our sponsors: Dan Hoch Landscaping for donating decorations to help get the LBIF in the holiday spirit; Rustic Drift for donating furniture during the Holiday Market Festival for patrons to gather around the fireplace; and Neptune Market for providing its delicious soup. Artist displays will be on view and ready-to-shop during regular gallery hours, Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The LBIF is located at 120 Long Beach Blvd. in Loveladies. —P.J.
