Joan Osborne Sings Bob Dylan at Grunin Center Oct. 14

Joan Osborne kicks off a lineup of folk, country and rock singers set to perform at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College. Tickets are on sale now for all upcoming shows.

At 8 p.m. on Oct. 14, Osborne will take the stage to sing the songs of Bob Dylan. “Joan Osborne has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the great voices of her generation – both a commanding, passionate performer and a frank, emotionally evocative songwriter,” the college notes. “A multi-platinum selling recording artist and seven-time Grammy Award nominee, the soulful vocalist is a highly sought-after collaborator and guest artist who has performed alongside many notables, including Stevie Wonder, Luciano Pavarotti, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, and Mavis Staples,” as well as Dylan.

Osborne’s new album, The Songs of Bob Dylan, Vol. 1, was released in July.

All seats are $35. A dinner add-on, at Caneda’s White Rooster, is available for $25.

Upcoming folk musicians slated for the Grunin Center include:Arlo Guthrie, with his children Sarah Lee Guthrie and Abe Guthrie, on Nov. 9; John Gorka with special guest Amilia K. Spicer on Jan. 20; Tom Chapin and The Chapin Sisters on April 21; and Peter Yarrow on May 11, all at 8:00 p.m.
