Joyous Women Convene at Murray Grove This Weekend to Learn, Grow

This weekend, Friday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 5, Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center in Lanoka Harbor hosts the Joyous Women Spiritual Retreat, offering a full lineup of spirit-centered workshops and activities and self-care, plus art, fellowship and meals.

Scheduled activities will include dream workshops; meditative forest walks, full moon bonfire and rituals, ecstatic dance, history of women and beer making, happy hour, journaling, meditative and healing practices, and massage.

Meanwhile, the Rev. Craig Hirshberg will lead workshops: “Connecting With the Spirit,” “Illuminating Challenges With Light” and “Unholy Contracts.” Hirshberg is a community minister in private practice specializing in teaching spiritual and contemplative practices and facilitating spiritual formation retreats. She lends spiritual direction to the Shalem Center for Spiritual Guidance in Washington, D.C. She was founding minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Somerset Hills in Somerville. As a trainer for the YMCA, Craig provided staff courses in cross-cultural communication, group work, program development, values education and global education.
