June’s High-Caliber Lineup at Lizzie Rose Music Room

The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton hosts concerts every week featuring musical groups and solo artists. The performances highlight a variety of genres including bluegrass, jazz, blues and rock ’n’ roll. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Recently nominated for a 2017 Blues Music Award, Vanessa Collier with her accompanying Blues Band will be performing a blend of funk and blues. A renowned saxophone player and Philadelphia native, Collier just debuted her new album Meeting My Shadow and will delight the crowd on Friday, June 9.

Six-piece jazz group Fluxtet, hailing from Highlands, offers an eclectic mix of jazz, funk and soul on Saturday, June 10.

Quiet Storm and the Copians, an a capella doo-wop group, will harmonize to the classics and hits from the ’50s and ’60s on Saturday, June 17.

One-man band Ronnie Baker Brooks shares tracks from his recently released album Times Have Changed, among other fan favorites. Brooks, who intermingles classic blues with more modern sounds, will play Wednesday, June 21.

The unique Cigar Box Stompers, who play their own handmade instruments, follow the rich history of cigar box guitars, or CBGs. The band has constructed over 400 CBGs. See them in person at their show on Friday, June 23.

Deb Callahan will perform her original blues material on Saturday, June 24. The Boston native, who has shared the stage with blues greats such as Buddy Guy, has been performing throughout the mid-Atlantic region since the ’90s and is famous for her soulful and creative sound.

Lap steel guitar great Selwyn Birchwood, who just released his new album Pick Your Poison and won the International Blues Award in 2013, will play his “high octane” blues Thursday, June 29.
