Kids Have Peanut Butter and Cupcake at the Libraries Next Month

Dec 19, 2018

The Ocean County Library Puppet Show Players will be staging “Peanut Butter & Cupcake!” at four branches in January. The show will be at the Barnegat branch on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 10:30 a.m.; Stafford branch, Wednesday, Jan. 9, 10:30 a.m.; the Long Beach Island branch on Monday, Jan. 28, 3:30 p.m.; and the Waretown branch on Thursday, Jan. 31,10 a.m.

Geared for ages 2 and older, the puppet show is based on Terry Border’s book with the same title. In the story, Peanut Butter tries to make friends, but they’re hard to come by, especially when Hamburger has to walk his (hot) dogs, Cupcake is too busy building castles in her sprinkle box, and Egg laughs so hard he starts to crack up.

Does Peanut Butter have a soulmate? Young readers will know the answer long before Peanut Butter does and laugh along with each mismatched pairing.
