Kim Wilson’s Blues Allstars Coming to Lizzie Rose Music Room Sept. 23

Sep 12, 2018

The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton presents an extra-special big-deal exclusive event later this month – in fact, a “premium gold concert presentation” – when Kim Wilson’s All-Star Blues Revue gets “up close and personal” on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $57 in advance or $65 the day of the show.

Wilson is a world-class blues harmonica player and the front man for the Fabulous Thunderbirds. As a side project he formed Kim Wilson’s Blues Allstars, a traditional blues band. The Thunderbirds formed in Texas in 1974, and Wilson is the only remaining founding member. He wrote the 1980s single “Tuff Enuff,” which was the band’s only Top 40 hit.

The Lizzie Rose is an intimate, nonprofit listening room venue on Route 9 that seats about 50 and provides weekly performances year ’round by national touring acts spanning numerous genres. Lou and Marsha Reichert, owners of Village Bicycles, opened Lizzie Rose in September 2014 and have turned it into a thriving center for cultural delight. For the full fall lineup, visit—V.F.
