LBI Historical Museum Gift Shop Sporting a New Look

May 24, 2017

Visitors to the Long Beach Island Historical Museum in Beach Haven will notice something new upon entering: an expanded Sign of the Whale gift shop.

Barb Cona, gift shop manager, said the museum along with the gift shop will be opening for the new season on Saturday, May 27, at noon.

“The shop has received a facelift over the last few months thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers,” she said. “We’ll still have a great selection of books to quench your thirst for LBI history, but now we will also be selling home decor items, jewelry, candles and children’s toys. We’ll also be selling cold beverages and snacks.”

Cona said the shop is offering an opening special through Saturday, July 1.

“If you have shared this announcement on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the signofthewhale hashtag, show the post when you come into the shop and receive a 10 percent discount on any purchase,” she said.

Currently, the museum is open noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Beginning Monday, June 26, it will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5; children younger than 12 are admitted for free.
