The 40 days of Lent give us an opportunity to prepare for Easter. To look closely at our lives, incorporate daily observances and ultimately grow closer to Christ. It is a spiritual journey of repentance, worship, prayer and study before we stand with joy before Christ’s empty tomb.

Our Lenten journey begins on Wed., Feb. 14 with Ash Wednesday soup and bread supper at 6 p.m. and a worship service in the sanctuary at 7 p.m.

Beginning Wed., Feb. 21, we will meet weekly for a soup and bread supper followed by a prayer service and Lenten study. The play, “They Were There,” during the services features on-the-spot interviews with Judas, Pilate, Claudia (Pilate’s wife), Barabbas and Peter.
