Lighthouse International Film Society Screening Brand New Film on Saturday

Aug 15, 2018

The Lighthouse International Film Society, the folks who give us each June’s Lighthouse International Film Festival, will present a pre-release screening of director Andy Gershenzon newest film, “Half Empty/Half Full,” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the LBI Historical Museum in Beach Haven.

Gershenzon will be on hand for a Q&A following the showing.

Admission is free for LIFS members and $5 for others.

The film stars Maria Thayer, Stark Sands, Mia Barron and Gershenzon. Because the film hasn’t been officially released there are no reviews or online clips available. But a brief synopsis has been offered:

“The drama unfolds in real time. Four old friends reunite for a dinner to catch up on each other’s lives. As the night progresses, it devolves into a whirlwind of jealousy, lies and big revelations.”

Gershenzon is an actor and writer, who appeared in the 2011 psychological thriller “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” starred in the comedies “The Engagement” and “Lowenstein Is Not a Terrorist,” and wrote, produced and acted in the TV series “(Not) Brothers”.  —R.M.
