Little Egg Harbor Introduces New Administrator

Little Egg Harbor Mayor Ray Gormley introduced the township’s new acting business administrator, Matthew Spadaccini, during the Aug. 9 municipal meeting. Spadaccini’s last post was with Gov. Chris Christie’s administration as chief of staff for the New Jersey Department of the Treasury. Before that he was deputy chief of staff coming from his stint in regulation, legislative and community affairs for the state Department of Children and Families. Spadaccini and also worked for former 7th District Republican Congressman Mike Fergusen after graduating in political science from Drew University.

“I’m excited to be here in Little Egg Harbor and very much looking forward to working with the Committee and the dedicated staff to efficiently and effectively serve the Township residents,” he said.

Spadaccini was hired as acting business director on July 12 at a salary of $75,000. He is 33 years old, married and lives in Monmouth County.

As fall returns, the township returns to two meetings a month, on the second and fourth Thursdays. The next meeting is Sept. 7 at 7 p.m., a half hour earlier than the summer months’ meetings.  —P.J.
