Little Egg Harbor School District Hosts ‘Summer Food Service’ Federal Program

The Little Egg Harbor Board of Education will be participating in the 2018 Summer Food Service Program from July 9 to Aug. 9. Students who attend the summer camp of the extended school year will receive a free breakfast and lunch at the Frog Pond School. Students from the community who need lunch may attend as well.

The Summer Food Service Program is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Services, U.S. Department of Agriculture. This program provides all children 18 years of age and younger with the same free meal in accordance with a menu approved by the state agency.

Institutions participating in or administrating USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, and reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. —P.J.
