Talk beachfill, taxes, municipal improvements and more with Long Beach Township Mayor Joseph H. Mancini on Sunday, June 24, at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. The free event, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is sponsored in partnership with the Loveladies Property Owners Association.

During his “Meet the Mayor” programs, said Mancini, he typically speaks for 10 or 15 minutes, and then takes questions for the remainder of the time. On Monday, he said he was excited to talk about the new wooden pavilion atop the dunes at 68th Street in Brant Beach, up the street from town hall – “It’s awesome” – as well as the completion of beach replenishment in Brant Beach and the addition of two new buses to the LBI Shuttle fleet.

Mancini, who is a Beach Haven Terrace resident, was first elected to office in 2008, and reelected in 2012 and 2017. He currently oversees public affairs and public safety in the township.

All are welcome to attend the Meet the Mayor event at LBIF, located at 120 Long Beach Blvd. in Loveladies.
