Feb 06, 2019

Ben Mrozinski will be sworn into his position as a new patrolman for the Harvey Cedars Police Department on Friday, Feb. 8, at 4:30 p.m. at the borough commission meeting. The 24-year-old officer is from Lacey Township. He graduated from Stockton University with a major in criminal justice.

Police Chief Robert Burnaford said Mroziinski began his career in May 2016 when he was hired as a special law enforcement officer. He then attended the Ocean County Police Academy during the spring semester of 2017. After graduating in May 2017, he was appointed as a full-time special officer.

“Ben is a great addition for us,” said Burnaford. “He enjoys serving the community and interacting with the public. He's a quick learner and should fit in well.” —E.E.
