New Walters Homes Office Building Under Construction in Ship Bottom

Four Divisions Under One Roof
Jul 25, 2018

The new office building in Ship Bottom for Walters Homes has a summer 2019 completion slated to house a Walters Homes sales office, Walters Realty, Walters Architecture LLC and design center.

The two-story, 5,790-square-foot building at 701 Central Ave. is another in the changing landscape of construction projects along the incoming and outgoing Causeway roads.

Walters Homes will occupy 4,730 square feet of space while 1,060 square feet will be leased to a yet-undisclosed restaurant.

This will be the second sales location for Walters Homes, which maintains a sales office at 880 Mill Creek Rd. in Manahawkin and corporate offices in Barnegat. The Ship Bottom site will bring four of the company’s divisions under one roof.

“This will be an ideal location to serve clients looking to build a new home in the Long Beach Island region,” said Matthew Gaudet-Walters, sales associate. “Each of our four divisions offers unique resources to assist clients, including sales, design guidance, land acquisition, tear-down opportunities as well as mortgage and title insurance services. Our aim is to offer an enhanced experience by providing a full range of services.”

Last year the award-winning custom design/build firm expanded its services to add Walters Realty, headed by Broker Patrick Bocchicchio, and Walters Architecture LLC, led by Arnold Boyle, AIA.

The new building in Ship Bottom is designed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s standards, known as LEED.

Another Walters Homes office site, on the corner of Route 35 and Third Avenue in Ortley Beach is currently in the design phase and is expected to get underway by year’s end. Walters Architecture is designing both office buildings.

Founded in 1984 by Ed Walters Jr., Walters Homes is a division of Walters Group. At Manahawkin sales office, visitors have the opportunity to tour a fully furnished four-bedroom model.
