Organizing Specialist Has Tips to Avoid Clutter

Apr 04, 2018

If you have an attic full of treasures, a garage filled with heirlooms instead of a car, a basement with your children’s toys and closets of collectibles, then stop by Barnegat Branch of the Ocean County Library for a de-cluttering presentation by organizing specialist Jamie Novak.

The author of Keep This, Toss That, Novak will give tips on how to tackle mini-organization projects over the summer, such as paperwork, closets, clothes and more. Her talk will conclude with a question and answer session.

She will explain how to put an end to last-minute rushing around caused by procrastination. She uses humor to reveal the common reasons why people put things off while the to-do list keeps growing. Novak will explain what to do about it so you can feel energized, accomplished and in control.

“You’ll find that just by starting out small, you can slowly but surely get things done, and you’ll stop feeling overwhelmed and more relaxed,” Novak said.

She has been seen on HGTV and QVC and most recently served as a home blogger for Martha Stewart’s Whole Living.
