Poor Decision

Sep 13, 2017

To the Editor:

Flipping the right of way at the intersection of Stage Road and Giffordtown Lane is a poor decision (“County Modifies Accident-Prone Intersection,” 8/16).

There is no visibility to the right for people stopped in the southbound lane of Stage Road. The property there is too overgrown for good visibility. I saw a lady almost get hit on Sept. 6. When you are going north it’s a little better, but that property has a 6-foot fence that is solid and you can’t see through.

Did anyone in the engineering office even drive through this area before they decided to go ahead with this plan? It should stay a four-way stop.
