Program Covers Photos and Your PCs on Aug. 15

Aug 07, 2017

In the digital age, those big photo albums people leaf through on coffee tables are rather passé. Tips on how to preserve photos online will be the focus of a talk titled “Photography and Your PC” on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City.

Guest speaker Marc Lipman said people often will have photo folders on their computer desktops.

“But sometimes people could put in a thousand photos and then it’s hard trying to go through that folder and find a particular photo,” said Lipman, who teaches computers at Middlesex County College.

He suggested setting up folders for particular events, such as a vacation or a wedding.

“Today, you can put photos on your TV, the Internet, cell phone, Facebook, iPad and others,” he said. “My goal is to teach the audience the various possibilities and options available.”

To register for the program, call the branch at 609-494-2480. —E.E.
