Registration for Ocean County College Classes Is Now Open

Aug 21, 2018

The National Football League’s regular season won’t kick off until Thursday, Sept. 6, when the Atlanta Falcons will take on the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles squad in Philadelphia. But college football will kick off this Saturday, Aug. 25, when four games will be played. In other words, summer is coming to an end!

If you haven’t yet registered for classes at Ocean County College, there’s still time to do so. But you might want to hop on it if you want a wide selection.

OCC is offering three types of classes this autumn.

Regular 15-week semester classes will run from Sept. 5 through Dec. 21. You can register for them through Aug. 26, with late registration running until Sept. 18.

If you prefer, you can choose 10-week quick term classes, which run from Oct. 10 to Dec. 21. You’ll have until Oct. 18 to register.

Finally, there are two 7½-week accelerated term sessions, one running from Sept. 5 through Oct. 25 and the other from Oct. 29 through Dec. 21. You must register for the former by Sept. 11 and the latter by Nov. 2.

Returning students can register online at ocean.edu. New students must register in person, either at the Registration & Records Office, Administration Building #1 on the community college’s main campus on College Drive in Toms River (call 732-255-0304 for further information) or at the Southern Education Center, located at 195 Cedar Bridge Rd. in Manahawkin (609-978-2077). New full-time students must also complete orientation prior to registering for classes.

Classes – including evening and weekend – are held at the OCC main campus, the Southern Education Center, and at off-campus locations throughout Ocean County. Online classes are also available.
