Sample Food at Taste of the Island Porch Party July 8

Individuals interested in enjoying signature appetizers from more than 25 area restaurants are invited to attend the Long Beach Island Historical Association’s Taste of the Island Porch Party Sunday, July 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. The annual fundraiser will take place at the historical association’s museum in Beach Haven.

“We get everything from sushi to salad, including skewers of all types, shrimp, ceviche, bruschettas, cheeses, miniature crab cakes, pastas, lox on toast, stuffed mushrooms, calamari, soups, pate and crackers, etc.,” said Ron Marr, association president.

Beer and wine will also be provided, as well as live music. Attendees will also get a chance to vote for the “Best Bite of the Night.”

Marr said proceeds go to various museum expenses.

Tickets to the event cost $25 and will be sold at the door. No reservations will be accepted. For more information, call the museum at 609-492-0700.  —E.E..
