Santa Seeks Out The Good Life in Surf City for Tree Lighting and Caroling

Nov 22, 2017

In Surf City, the third annual Tree Lighting is a magical event at The Good Life Boutique that brings Santa to town in the evening amid lights, festivity and caroling. It happens Friday, Dec. 1, at the store at 2200 Long Beach Blvd.

Gather around the shop in time to get a good spot to hear the St. Francis of Assisi Junior Choirs at 6:30 p.m. Then Santa arrives at 7 p.m. with much fanfare by fire truck, thanks to the Surf City Volunteer Fire Co.

Mayor Francis Hodgson will do the honors of flipping the switch that lights the tree.

The good cheer continues after the outdoor festivities. Join everyone inside the store for cookies and cider. Bring your own camera for pictures with Santa.

WBNJ radio will broadcast live. For a look at how warm and festive this family event is, see the video clip from last year on the Facebook page The Good Life Boutique. —M.S.
