Science Teams Up With Wild West History at Kids Programs

Jun 20, 2018

The Ocean County Library System will offer “ScienceTellers Presents: Wild West: The Mystery of the Golden Piano” at three area branches this summer.

ScienceTellers provides positive, interactive and educational science programs. Library audiences will enjoy an exciting adventure about a legendary outlaw in the Wild West with interactive science experiments to bring the story to life. It is geared for ages 5 and up.

Volunteers from the audience will participate in exploring the science behind chemical reactions, combustion, air pressure, inertia and more. With a bank robber back in town and about to strike, they must saddle up to foil the heist, stop a runaway train and escape an abandoned mine shaft.

Performances are scheduled at the Tuckerton branch on Friday, June 22, 2 p.m.;  Stafford branch, Monday, July 23, noon; and later that day at the Waretown branch at 6.

These programs are sponsored by the Ocean County Friends of the Library or their association groups. For more information, log on to theoceancountylibrary.org or visit sciencetellers.com.  E.E.
