See ‘Jonah’ and Have Ice Cream at Ocean Community Church April 21

Apr 16, 2018

Those familiar with the Bible’s account of Jonah know it’s the story of a prophet who’s the recipient of a lot of God’s grace. But if you didn’t get to see the Sight & Sound Theatre production of “Jonah” when it was live on stage several years ago, Saturday, April 21, at 1 p.m. will be a great time to at least catch the DVD version of the production, when Ocean Community Church provides a viewing of the show and an ice cream social to follow. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

Filmed before a live audience, the Sight & Sound production of “Jonah” is a fun-filled adventure featuring the reluctant prophet with cold feet, providing delightful humor, soul-stirring music, spectacular sets, astonishing costumes and the breathtaking underwater scene with a 40-foot whale. The time of the production is approximately 116 minutes.

Ocean Community Church is located at 1492 Route 72 West, Manahawkin. For more information, call 609-597-5151. —D.B.
